IT PROVED to be another tough day for the Jamaicans at the ITF Jamaica Junior International Tournament as the last two singles prospects, Jordan Harris and Oshane Trail, exited the boys' 14 quarter-final round yesterday at the NCB Wellness Centre.

In modified sets which were made so due to a loss in time due to Wednesday's heavy rains, Trail went down 4-1, 4-1 to Justin Tjon of the Netherland Antilles while Harris was blanked by Juan Carlos De Pedro 4-0, 4-0.

In doubles action at the Eric Bell Tennis Centre, the pair of Eldad Campbell and Brandon Burke enjoyed brief success when they beat the Bajan team of Darian King and Seanon Williams 4-1, 5-4 (4) in the first round. However, they were then turned back by Bradley Bryan of Barbados and Michael Clarke of Trinidad 4-1, 4-2.

The team of Tyler Chin and Christopher Lawson did not fare any better and they were stopped 4-1, 4-2 by the team of Jamal Adderley of the Bahamas and Yohansey Williams of Trinidad.

Kristopher Martin and Dax Vernon also failed to progress to the second round when they were knocked out by the United States team of Nishanti Hari and Nicholas Spinazze 4-3, 5-4.
