THE EDITOR, Sir
I HAVE been trying for the better part of two years to reconstruct the life of my late father (Sylvester Wilson) and the financial contributions he made to some organisations in Jamaica prior to death. The organisations I have contacted are: The National Housing Trust, National Insurance and the Port Authority of Jamaica (he was a port worker).
At the time of his death, I was 15 years old and neither my mother nor I received any monetary contributions for widows/ orphans on his behalf. I have even made inquires to the NHT and NIS for my contributions that I have made prior to migrating - to no avail.
My father was born on or about October 27, 1918 and died on April 15, 1976 in the Lionel Town Hospital in Clarendon.
I failed to see how a man, a Jamaican, can live and work for more than 50 years and disappear without a paper trail. I will be more than happy to furnish any and all information at your request.
I can be reached at all times at any of these contacts: email: cs185@bellsouth.net work phone # 561-355-7469; home 954-782-7108 and cell 754-367-5180
I am, etc.,
