LETTER OF THE DAY - Political flip-flopping getting tiresome!
The Editor, Sir: I watch with great disappointment the litany of political verbiage flowing between the Hon. Prime Minister Portia Simpson Miller and the Jamaica Labour Party regarding the impending general election.

Those days of the 'cat' and 'noose'
THE EDITOR, Sir: I can remember a time when some men recently involved in sexual offences would have given their lives to protect children who have been victims. Today, it seems that if they are not our children, we don't give a damn.


Inappropriate road markings
The Editor, Sir: As I drive around the island of Jamaica and observe the different road markings, it begs the question, how many of our drivers are aware of the meaning of these markings?


Teen cries for freedom
The Editor, Sir: I am writing on the behalf of a 14-year-old friend who has literally been locked away from the world. This is what I call a cry for freedom, as she has been denied the opportunity to live her own life.


Developing a sense of identity
THE EDITOR, Sir: It is indeed frightening that every time one reads, watches or listens to the news, we are certain of one thing - accounts of criminal activity and varying forms of anti-social behaviour affecting all levels of society.


No to condoms in prison
THE EDITOR, Sir: There is much concern about distribution of condoms in our penal institutions by our health care givers. I am aware that the use of condoms is one of the methods of controlling risky behaviour...
