MIDEAST: Israeli forces close in on key Hezbollah stronghold
JERUSALEM (Reuters): Israeli forces battled to take over a second Hezbollah stronghold in southern Lebanon yesterday and an Israeli commander estimated at least 20 guerrillas had been killed in the fighting.

Olmert vows to crush Hezbollah
JERUSALEM (Reuters): Israel agreed yesterday to allow aid airlifts to Lebanon, but said it was determined to pursue a war against Hezbollah that key ally the United States has sanctioned despite a heavy civilian death toll.
