The University of Technology (UTech) tuition fees increase
published: Thursday | July 27, 2006

The University of Technology (UTech) has announced that tuition fees for the 2006-2007 academic year have been increased by between 15 and 20 per cent.

Dr. Rae Davis, president of UTech, said returning students' fees have been increased by 15 per cent, while fees for new students have gone up by 20 per cent.

He told The Gleaner that the institution increases fees every year but has been able to keep it in single digits for the last three years.

However, Dr. Davis pointed out that the increased cost of running the university has resulted in the dramatic hike.
