Luton Shelton
Jamaica international Luton Shelton snatched his third goal for Swedish Allsvenskan team Helsingborg when he netted the decisive goal in a 2-1 victory over Kalmar FF at the Olympia Stadium on Monday.
With the final whistle rapidly approaching, the 21-year-old striker, much to the delight of the home crowd, broke free to roll the ball into the back of the net, capping off a come-from-behind effort that gave his team all three points from the fixture.
Viktor Elm struck to give Kalmar the lead in the 58th minute, but Swedish superstar Henrik Larsson, who transferred from Champions League winners Barcelona in the off-season, brought the teams level with his first goal of the season, a 69th minute strike.
With three goals in 12 matches so far this season, the 6'2" Jamaican striker is second in goalscoring for the club behind Rwandan midfielder Olivier Karekezi who has five goals.
Shelton signed with the club from local league team Harbour View FC, a little over a month ago after a brief trial.
Helsingborg are now in ninth spot with 14 points, one ahead of Jamaican midfielder Khari Stephenson's club GAIS and eight ahead of Oster, who recently signed Jamaican Teofore Bennett, who is yet to score for the club.
Defending Champions Hammarby sit at the top of the table with 26 points. In the latest round of matches GAIS went down 3-0 to Elfsborg, while Oster went down 2-0 to Malmo.
