
TrenchfieldJamaica's Under-19 team will depart the island today for the 2006 TCL Group West Indies Under-19 Cricket Challenge, which bowls off on August 8 in Guyana.
The tournament, which runs until August 30, will follow a three-day format consisting of five rounds of matches.
Six teams - Barbados, Guyana, Jamaica, Leeward Islands, Trinidad & Tobago and Windward Islands - will play each other for points in the round-robin competition.
The two teams with the most points after this stage will face off in a three-day final starting August 28 at the historic Bourda ground.
The Jamie Trenchfield-led Jamaican team will open against defending champions Trinidad & Tobago at Bourda Oval.
In other opening round games, Barbados - the runners-up for the last two years - will face Windward Islands at Police, and Guyana will meet Leeward Islands at Everest.
Jamaica will face Leeward Islands at Wales (August 12-14); Barbados at Everest (August 16-18); Guyana at Enmore (August 20-22) and Windward Islands at Everest (August 24-26).
The final is set for August 28-30 at Bourda.
