A glimmer of hope
published: Wednesday | August 9, 2006

The Editor Sir

Right on, JLP. The resurgence of the JLP over the last month or so has again given me a glimmer of hope. One must commend the arm of the party that published a very amusing yet thoughtful newsletter about the Portmore toll imbroglio. The article was so right on point when it stated that Portmore residents must now budget their way out of their homes despite the already full plate of bills and taxes.

I, like many other residents, have and will continue to support the toll road boycott until a very reasonable toll is charged. I certainly hope that when the JLP sweeps the next general election they will remain true to their word that they will lower the toll to a reasonable amount.

I must admit that I regret ever voting for the PNP in the past. My vote unfortunately has been determined by my immediate family's voting patterns. For sure I can't now see myself voting for the PNP ever again.

Portmore people let us continue the fight! Let us show this government that we will not be taken for fools.

I am etc
