Man accused of molesting 7-y-o boy in Parliament
published: Friday | August 11, 2006

KINGSTON (CMC):

A 28-year-old man is to stand trial on August 21 after being accused of molesting a seven-year-old boy at the nation's Parliament.

Charged with indecent assault is Daniel Leemock who is employed to the Parliament's library. His trial date was set when he appeared in court on Wednesday.

The incident reportedly took place on May 24, while the child was visiting his cousin who works at Gordon House.

Police report that the boy was taken into a bathroom by Leemock who fondled him and forced him to do other sexual acts.

The matter came to light when an employee saw the boy in a restricted section of the Parliament building and became suspicious. He questioned the child and based on his answers, went to the bathroom where he saw Leemock.

A report was made to the boy's mother who took her son to the Rape Unit where he was examined by a doctor.

Following investigations Leemock was charged last Friday.
