Hall scores double for Chesterfield
published: Sunday | August 13, 2006

LONDON, England (CMC):

JAMAICAN INTERNATIONAL Paul Hall scored twice for his English League One side Chesterfield in a 5-1 crushing of Millwall in the English League One yesterday.

Hall, who is in his second season with the club, opened the scoring in the 14th minute when he capitalised on a defensive mistake and added another six minutes after the break.

Wayne Allison also netted a double (24th, 65th), while the other goal came from Caleb Folan. Kevin Braniff pulled one back for Millwall in the 73rd.

Chesterfield are third in League One on seven points after three matches.

Jamaican international Jermaine Johnson also celebrated his new contract with Bradford City, scoring in the 90th minute to help the north England club beat Gillingham 4-2 in the English League One.

Bradford went behind 0-2 after Reggae Boyz goalkeeper Donovan Ricketts was beaten twice in the first 15 minutes.

Defender Mark Bower pulled one back for Bradford as they trailed 1-2 at half-time, but they took a 3-2 lead thereafter when Dean Windass found the nets in the 62nd and 83rd minutes.

Johnson struck just before the final whistle to put the icing on the cake.

Trinidad and Tobago's custodian Kelvin Jack started between the uprights for Gillingham and saved a penalty from Windass.
