Who's Who award for Ex-Im Bank head
published: Sunday | August 20, 2006

McLean

Eleven years of outstanding performance at the helm of a trailblazing government entity has paid off for managing director of the National Export Import Bank, Pamella McLean.

Coming fast on the heels of a national award of the Order of Distinction (Commander Rank) for sterling contribution to the export industry, Mrs. McLean has been recognised by the International Who's Who Historical Society.

Hard-working

The hard-working and goals-oriented head of Ex-Im was admitted to the society on August 2, and will be listed in the 2006 edition of International Who's Who of Professionals.

Membership and biographical listings in this professional directory is a highly selective process and new members are chosen following an in-depth interview and biographical review.

The society lauds Mrs. McLean for her "strategic, visionary leadership, management and guidance" of the Ex-Im, noting that her broad expanse of experience, success in managing global businesses and exposure to an international environment enable her to efficiently handle her different duties.

Additionally, she has been praised by the internationally-acclaimed body for "devising and defining new, fresh business development objectives and strategies" by cultivating new business opportunities, staying ahead of new, emerging trends and potential breakthroughs in technologies and generating a sustainable long-term profit.

Describing the moment as heart-warming, Mrs. McLean says the "award makes me feel humble" and "I accept this kind of recognition with sincerity."

Mrs. McLean created history more than a decade ago when she took the reigns of leadership at Ex-Im in 1995, her predecessors being male.
