published: Monday | August 21, 2006

Barbara Ellington, Lifestyle Editor

Red Lane Spa products are attractively packaged. For salon use, they come in huge ceramic bottles but for the customer, smoothing salt scrub, relaxing bath salts and moisturising bath gel are available in easy-to-handle containers. - Contributed photos

Yet another line of bath and body products is available for vacationers or persons who desire a relaxing and luxurious home-spa treatment.

The Red Lane products have active ingredients: safflower seed oil, beeswax, sunflower oil, linoleic acid, shea butter, vitamins A and E, grapefruit extract, cucumber extract, orange extract, lavender extract, sea kelp extract and more.

There are three distinct fragrances: Caribbean Sunrise, Island Essence and Tropical Breeze. For each of the above categories, the product list includes: replenishing body butter, nourishing body cream, smoothing salt scrub, relaxing bath salts, body polish, moisturising bath gel and hydrating body lotion. Prices range from US$8.00 to US$23.00 and at present they are available only at Sandals hotels and online through the hotel's website.

Signature massage

The new products have been in the spa since last December and staff underwent training in a new range of signature massages to complement them.

So far feedback on the products have been positive with hotel guests experiencing a "wow" feeling after use. In the words of one visitor, "They are the icing on the vacation cake, a bit pricey, but well worth it."
