LETTER OF THE DAY - Night of fear with Hurricane Charlie
The Editor, Sir: I must congratulate you and your team for bringing to print events that some people have never heard of, others have forgotten and many reflect on quite often. The 1951 Hurricane Charlie is one such event that I have never forgotten.

Bold (new) leadership needed!

The Editor, Sir: I care to comment on the Letter of the Day 'Thank you Madam PM', published in your paper recently from R. Woung of New York. Mr. Woung was overwhelmed by the charisma and prospects of PM Simpson Miller, having been 'charmed'...

MoU should not stymie police pay

The Editor, Sir: I find an article in this morning's paper (August 11) titled 'Gov't's approach to cops wages wrong' to be misleading and conveying the wrong impression of my conversation with your reporter. For the records let me correct this impression.

Tourism and the economy

The Editor, Sir: With regard to tourism development and subsequently the economic development of the country, there is little doubt that the expansion of developments could be enhanced by highlighting historical values.
