Despite having been labelled an uptown sound, Coppershot manages to mix uptown hip hop songs with downtown vibes and rhythms and sound has released two mix CDs for summer 2K6.
The first, Full Clip, named after the group's latest rhythm, features some of the hottest dancehall hits. Like other mix CDs put out by the sound, the new mixes have been gaining popularity, playing all across town. The CD mixes rhythms such as 'Dem Time Deh', featuring artistes such as Mavado, Bounty Killer and Leftside and Esco.
A good listen
Other rhythms are the 'Redbull and Guinness', featuring Vybz Kartel, Sizzla and Norris Man, as well 'Higher Level', voiced by Mungo, Vybz Kartel and Voicemail. Some songs include All Out from Sean Paul, Bukam by Idonia., Capleton's Hitmaker and many more. The CD is a good listen for chilling in your car to creating a vibe for a party, especially since it's littered with a host of humorous dubs.
The second CD is more encompassing. As the name states, Summer Promo, the CD has all the hits for the summer from rap stars to dancehall superstars. A mix CD as well, songs on it vary from Rolling by Chamillionaire and Hustling by Rik Rok to Goodaz by Tony Matterhorn. 'Full Clip', the latest rhythm from the sound itself, is featured on this CD and voiced by acts such as Assassin. The 'Full Clip' has a strong bass beat which the girls will like.
Both CDs are a crash course in the hottest tunes, with innovative mixing. These mix CDs are the best way of getting a club/party type vibe without having to leave the comfort of your house.
However, both CDs are rated 'R', for adult listening only. The intros for both have strong content which will be appreciated by adults as it takes a humorous twist.
