WESTERN BUREAU:
Defying Hurricane Ernesto, the fabulous Montegonians, combined with the Colombian and Venezuelan party lovers donned white and glowed all night at Groovy Grouper's Full Moon Frolic last Saturday night.
Tagged 'a midsummer night's dream', the creative princesses wore fairy wings, refusing to take flight at midnight.
Business woman and member of Fab Nine, Cecile Levee showed off well toned thighs in short shorts and wedge heels. Michelle Stanecky displayed sex appeal as the snow princess of New York, Andre Brown played the role of Peter Pan and Kash Hall said no to Snowhite and became a moonlight fairy.
The event turned out to be a welcome to 'MoBay' reception for Altamont Court's Donahue Jarrett - the second city's newest hotelier. "I love this town, it is great," he whispered into the ear of The Gleaner writer.
Inside the friendly city
Surrounded by a bevy of beauties, which included Joan Lee, April Parchment, Violet Whitfield, Maureen Shaw and Ann Chen, Mr. Jarrett was welcomed in style to the friendly city.
However, networking at midsummer night's dream was the least; the icing on the cake was the music that thumped from the sound system of Renegade's Andrew Henry and the Skyy martini that flowed freely.
Birthday boy Ravi and his wife Samera had just returned from their whirlwind tour of India and the Great Wall of China, Andy Daswani was in his elements, Jeanne and Ryan Matthews looked more like young lovers, Andre Dixon was as cool as 'Kool Kat' and Michelle Tulloch was the perfect host.
Former Mr. Jamaica Kinte Thelwell, Stephen Euker, Ron Stanecky, Norbert Feldman, Nairobis - the macarena dancer of no mean order and her husband Alejandro Loiza, Peter Komposch, Trevor Lyn, Gordon Brown, Audrey Crooks, Aroon and Dinesh Dadlani, Javier Bethencourt, Albert Famban and Marga Comas, rounded out the list.
