The Editor, Sir:
It is my opinion and perhaps the general viewpoint of the public that the Church is a building set aside for fellowship. The Church is the place where people of faith join together and find a common bond spiritually. It is within the walls of the Church where proselytising occurs as people are allowed to pray, sing and dance.
In recent times however, I have observed that the folks from Gordon House have found it more convenient to step away from the secular platform of the Parliament on to the holy altars of the younger and more pentecostal churches.
Now please do not get me wrong. I am not knocking anyone's faith or conviction. However, I must tell it to all that the platform at Gordon House serves as a platform for political propaganda. The altar within the church is holy and must remain off limits to the politicians.
Ministers, deacons and elders, I beg of you, do not be deceived by cheap publicity. There must remain a solid line of demarcation between the Church and the politicians.
I am, etc.,
