'Summer Cool Out'

Anointed Praise Station's (APS) Summer Cool Out was in full swing but patrons seemed to have been cooling out elsewhere. That, however, did not prevent the quorum from having a good time.

APS had put together a night dedicated to showcasing its new and upcoming artistes taking turns at the microphone. For the first few hours, it was strictly just a lime among teenage Christians who made time to meet and greet each other. The event took place at Gospel Place located in Baron's Plaza on Constant Spring Road, St. Andrew.

Roger Facey, the head of APS, said he was pleased with the event as it was more than he expected. APS has been around for a mere six months with their flagship group, Sons of the Shepherd.

It seemed like a regular little house party with the only difference being the lyrics of the songs. After patiently waiting for the live performances, DJ Nano got the little gathering rocking with Jesus Party.

Main attraction

The main attraction was still not ready so other unknown artistes grabbed the opportunity to entertain those in attendance.

Finally, Sons of the Shepherd emerged onstage, much to the excitement of the screaming teenagers. Their vocal performance made the place come alive. But that was not all as their dancing added a different flavour to the performance as well.

It may hot have been a concert with the high-powered gospel artistes, but it was a well-spent night for the attendees.
