Firms are increasingly being compelled to engage in e-commerce, which requires websites of greater complexity, interactivity, security, and higher capacity for database management. The MIAS is currently enrolling students in the web page design and web development and administration courses, which begin in October.

The web development and administration course is geared towards providing the web designer and/or programmer with the knowledge required, carrying them to the level of web developer and administrator.

The certificate in web page design teaches the basic hands-on skills and knowledge that all professional web designers are expected to master. Foundation skills include basic knowledge of Internet technologies, network infrastructure, web authoring using XHTML, and job skills such as project management.
