Native bred maiden two-year-olds hold centre stage at Caymanas Park today in the annual renewal of the Winnie Anglin Memorial Cup over the round five course, this offering a total purse of $415,000.

The race has attracted nine starters, among them five newcomers. They include the Patrick Fong-trained SHE'S OUTRAGEOUS to be ridden by Dal Brown.

A bay filly by Outrigger out of the Wise Emissary mare Born To Be Wild, SHE'S OUTRAGEOUS has looked more forward than the other debutants and it is not beyond her to get off the mark immediately with nothing really outstanding in the lineup. SHE'S OUTRAGEROUS is a half sister to the useful three-year-old gelding JET BLASTER, who runs in today's ninth race over 1200 metres.

The experienced trio of ROYAL HARVEST, THANKSWITHASMILE and ORION should carry the bulk of the betting and the winner will more than likely emerge from this quarter.

Performance

The Gary Subratie-trained ROYAL HARVEST finished a poor sixth to LADY INDIRA in the Rhoel Rhoden Memorial Cup over the 1100 metres on August 19, but I understand she was knocked about in the starting gate just before the off and this obviously affected her performance. The daughter of Alisios has been administered Lasix for the first time and this is sure to help her cause.

Owen Sharpe's THANKSWITHASMILE has shown definite signs of ability in two starts, the more recent when finishing fourth to MUCHO GUSTO over the distance on August 26.

Trained by Anthony 'Baba' Nunes and bred by HAM Stables, this attractive chestnut filly by Royal Minister out of Code Star was not disgraced in finishing 6 1/4 lengths third and now a lot better for the experience, and working well for this, looks the one to beat, especially with stable jockey Brian Harding now taking the ride.

ORION gets the nod over ROYAL HARVEST and SHE'S OUTRAGEOUS.

Other firm fancies on the card are SAMMY MY GIRL in the 4th race confined to apprentice riders, MEDIC ON BOARD in the 6th, KING AL in the 7th and HIDALGO in the 9th.
