A jury is to decide on October 30 if 31-year-old security guard Jeffrey Perry, who is charged with the murder of three children at Killancholly, St. Mary, is fit to plead.
The Crown is alleging that Perry, who is a cousin of the children, fatally stabbed them on January 28, 2005.
Those killed were 15-year-old Dwane Davidson, 13-year-old Sue Ann Gordon and four-year-old Shadice Williams.
Perry's case was set for trial yesterday in the Home Circuit Court but had to be adjourned to allow the Crown to get another psychiatric report.
Lisa Palmer, Acting Deputy Director of Public Prosecutions, told Mrs. Justice Marva McIntosh that last week Thursday, defence lawyers Linton Gordon and Carlene McFarlane, submitted an independent psychiatric report from Dr. Herbert Wieder which was contrary to the one which was initially done by another psychia-trist in March.
Miss Palmer applied for an adjournment so that the Crown could get another psychiatrist to conduct another evaluation.
