Arrests in couple's murder
published: Tuesday | September 26, 2006

Two other men have been arrested and charged in connection with the murder of former president of the Jamaica Gasolene Retailers Association (JGRA), Lloyd G. Brown, and his fiance, Sandra Campbell.

These latest arrests resulted yesterday in the trial of Peter Dougal, 39, of Santoy district in Hanover, who is charged with the double murder, being put off.

When Dougal appeared in the Home Circuit Court, prosecutors told the court that the two men who were arrested would be taken to the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court on Friday. The prosecutors said the case against the men will be transferred to the Home Circuit Court.

Mrs. Justice Marva McIntosh remanded Dougal until October 6 when the case will be mentioned. Brown, 62, and Campbell, 49, were fatally shot about 4 a.m. on Sunday, June 5, 2005, at Campbell's Stilwell Road home in Stony Hill, St. Andrew.
