JPS disruption to affect St Thomas and St Catherine's water supply
published: Tuesday | September 26, 2006

National Water Commission (NWC) customers in some areas of St. Thomas and St. Catherine will have their water supply disrupted today and tomorrow, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

According to the water commis-sion, this is as a result of planned Jamaica Public Service Company (JPS) disruptions of electricity supply.

Areas to be affected include:

In St. Thomas: Hillside district, Aeolus Valley, Belvedere, Botany Bay, Easington, Green Wall, Hampstead, Heartease, Llandewey, Lloyds, Norris, Prospect Pen, Ramble, Springfield, White Horses, Windsor Forest Yallahs.

In St. Catherine: Charlemont Housing Scheme.

The NWC also said that customers in sections of the Corporate Area will experience low water pressure or have no water supply today between 6 a.m. and 5 p.m.

The utility company said that this is to facilitate repairs to a broken main on the Tulloch Springs pipeline.

Areas to be affected are: Ferry; Marcus Garvey Drive; Spanish Town Road; and sections of downtown Kingston.
