Waterford stretched their lead atop Group A of the 2006 JN/Pepsi/ISSA schoolboy Manning Cup football competition with a convincing 4-0 win over Tarrant at Jacisera Park.
Conrad White led the way for Waterford, last year's semi-finalists, with a brace. White, whose last goal came from the penalty spot, scored in the 23rd and 77th minutes.
Dean Martin, who scored from close range in the 15th minute and Ramon Willis' 20-yard beauty, also contributed to Waterford's third win of the season.
Victory pushed Waterford to 11 points, four ahead of 2004 champions Excelsior (seven points), St. Andrew Technical (STATHS) five points, Tarrant (three), Dunoon (one) and St. Mary's College (zero).
Despite the win, Waterford's coach Floyd Coke believes his boys are far off their best.
"The team is not playing as good as they should," said Coke. "We are still rushing the football, the teams we played are poor and it seems as if we want to step down to that level," remarked Coke.
"We're still not where we want to be," he said. "The tactical play is the problem.
"The results are coming, which means there are some positives, but we are not playing up to our standard," concluded Coke.
In Group C, Innswood continued their unbeaten run with a 5-3 win over Cumberland at Chedwin Park.
Innswood joined three-time champions Charlie Smith on 12 points. Both teams have played four matches.
Meanwhile, Tarrant's coach Andre Rose believes his team needs more work.
"It could have been a much better performance, but the boys lack fitness," Rose said.
