A little over a month on the job, Tanya Miller still has difficulty finding her way around the building. However, she has no difficulty manoeuvring her way through the demands of her new role as vice- president of marketing at Pan Caribbean. With such a demanding job and a family, Miller is not left wishing she had 36-hour days. She has developed the art of doing what needs to be done with the 24 she's given.
"I manage my time pretty well. I always have a plan. There may be four plans for one hour but I have one for all facets of my life. I plan for everything then I prioritise and understand what is critical what is urgent. Everything cannot be urgent."
With a bachelor's degree in international business from Rochester Institute in New York, and a master's degree in business administration, marketing, from the University of the West Indies Mona, Miller has a job that combines her two passions. "I have found the perfect complement in terms of my interest in financial services and marketing. I've found what I love. I enjoy the creative side and the analytical side."
She notes that the dynamics of her job will keep her developing professionally. "I will have to continually learn new approaches keep abreast of changing consumer trends because of the ever-chang-ing nature of this environment. My goal is to develop an edge in the field."
