Sara Lawrence returns in triumph
published: Monday | October 9, 2006

SARA

She's our queen and in fact she is the Miss World representative in the Caribbean! Ms. Jamaica World Sara Lawerence returned home on Thursday from the month-long Miss Word finals in Warsaw, Poland, that culminated with her winning the title, 'Ms. Caribbean Queen of Beauty' and also placing in the top six, out of 104 contestants. Flair got the first in-depth interview with her.

Flair: Congratulations again on your performance in Miss World 2006. Winning the Ms. Caribbean Queen of Beauty title and placing in the top six is no small feat, so we proud a yuh!

Sara: Thank you so much!

Flair: What were your expectations going to Poland?

Sara: It happened so fast I did not have time to build up expectations. I just had to dive into it, and do my best to shine.

Flair: You must have 'sized' up the competition?

Sara: They were all pretty girls. I wasn't threatened initially, but I was a little taken aback seeing the girls in person, as their pictures created so much hype. I quickly realised that we were all human and everyone has flaws. I, however, noticed, that though some had really pretty faces.
