BLACK RIVER, St. Elizabeth:

Opposition Leader, Bruce Golding, is insisting that the Government should resign over the Trafigura Beheer scandal.

According to Mr. Golding, the Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) will not accept the resignation of one or two Government ministers over the issue.

"This one will not go away like a nine-day wonder. We are going to ensure that everything about this $31 million donation comes to light," he said.

Mr. Golding was speaking during a tour of the North-West St. Elizabeth constituency on the weekend.

Meanwhile, the Private Sector Or-ganisation of Jamaica (PSOJ) has expressed dissatisfaction with a directive from Prime Minister Portia Simpson Miller for the return of the $31 million "donation".

According to PSOJ president, Beverley Lopez, some serious issues have still not been addressed.

"The statement issued on behalf of the Prime Minister indicating that the funds would be returned to Trafigura does not address the fundamental concerns we have in respect of why there is a contractual obligation on the part of Trafigura to the CCOC Association (sic)," she told The Gleaner yesterday.

"We believe that more important issues will have to be addressed and unless we see the original contract that committed Trafigura to send this money to CCOC, we are no closer to the truth," she said.
