The Editor, Sir:
It was with much laughter and immense joy that I read the 'letter of the day' for Monday, October 2. This profound joy came about as a result of recognising that at a time when tempers are flaring, people are grumpy and miserable, each biting off the head of the other, someone can produce "humour," (even in small doses) to cheer the minds of those who choose to identify with it.
It is a classical presentation of the contrast between Biblical happenings of old times and the happenings of the present time; and also a good reminder that God still exists and is omnipotent and can be recognised in all manifestations - proclaimed or otherwise.
Thank you, writer, for adding a spark of hope to an already sad situation. May they now go in peace and reconcile their differences.
I am, etc.,
