WESTERN BUREAU:

If you missed the Swedish group 'Arrival's' performance in Montego Bay last Saturday, you probably may want to beat yourself.

It was a performance of a lifetime.

They will be back in the second city for what is expected to be another great show, in the coming months.

Walter Elmore, chairman of Turn Key Productions, the body responsible for bringing the group to Jamaica, confirmed their impending return.

"After that performance last Saturday and the response from the crowd, I thought that it would be really good to bring them back to Jamaica for the Air Jamaica Jazz Festival. I have already approached them about it and they have consented."

The festival is scheduled for January, 2007.

Elmore, who works closely with the Half Moon Hotel each year to locate interesting acts to perform at the resort, said he went to see 'Arrival' perform in Atlantic City in the United States, while they were on a tour. "I was so impressed that I thought I definitely had to bring them to Jamaica. I am so glad that they were given the kind of reception by the Jamaican audience," Elmore said.

Co-sponsors pleased

The U.K.'s based Virgin Atlantic, who were also co-sponsors of the event said they were pleased to be part of the production, describing it as a 'win-win for all.'

"We were asked if we would be interested in helping out with the event. Virgin has had its roots in the entertainment industry, with Sir Richard Bransen having a record label. We still think of ourselves as liking to entertain and we like a lot of fun, so we thought it would be the perfect way to tell Jamaica and in particular, Montego Bay, that we are here and we would like to party with you," said Judith Wilcox, Virgin Atlantic's regional manager, with responsibility for the Caribbean.
