The Editor, Sir:
I am appalled that the People's National Party administration could pretend not to know the conditions in Jamaica's public hospitals. The Most Honourable Sister P. has now called for an investigation into the conditions of the public hospitals. Where has she been living? In Jamaica?
I applaud the doctor at the Victoria Jubilee Hospital who broke his silence on the conditions that poor women are faced with.
I am sure that the FCIB bank employee who leaked the information on the Colin Campbell Our Candidate (CCOC) bank account did so after seeing so much corruption that she couldn't stand it any more. This bank account is sure evidence of a fat, pompous, arrogant government and smells of nothing more than greed, corruption and the abuse of power.
The CCOC bank account needs to be audited by a 'non-genetic' auditing firm and the truth needs to be told. It's time that all of the private sector associations stand up to this corrupt government and speak out!
Congratulations to the President of the Jamaica Chamber of Commerce for speaking up. Minister Robert Pickersgill could scream to the high heavens about 'genetic' links to the JLP — he's simply speaking the truth and the truth hurts!
I am, etc.,
