Angel of death has returned
published: Thursday | October 12, 2006

THE EDITOR, Sir:

We are at it again. Obfuscating, dodging the truth. Masking the facts.

The PMI and our political leaders are again wasting time in Mountain View. It is the time to placate; it is the season of lies, barefaced hypocrisy, manipulation of people and media - the angel of death has returned.

Nothing will be solved by their current efforts. There is no improvement in the quality of the political leadership being displayed.

The guns remain nested, the gunmen remain sequestered. Why can't we accept the truth as expressed in the words of the old mento song, 'ole time sinting come back again'? Twenty-two years later. I know it when I see it. I have been there, I have seen it before.

Is it not true that some of our old political leaders with their old style are back? How long is it going to take for us to deal with the real criminals who initiate, manipulate and manage this brutal exploitation of the poor black youth?

Some of us who are so engaged do not only reside outside these exploited communities, but we have our possessions safely stored overseas where we live and are only home for the killing season, which comes every five years.

May God have mercy on us all.

I am, etc.,

OSWALD SEYMOUR JP.
