22 WAYS TO BE BEAUTIFUL
published: Monday | October 16, 2006

Left: Give your face a warm sunny glow with bronzers.   Right: For beautiful healthy hair, shampoo and condition regularly.- Ian Allen/Staff Photographer

They say true beauty is on the inside but first impressions last forever, so the outside is ultra important. As Flair turns 22 tomorrow, we continue to keep you in the know with 22 ways to always be beautiful.

Eyes

Eyebrows: Always keep them arched. They frame your face and form the foundation, so it's important to keep them neatly in shape.

Jazz up your windows to the world with a pair of contacts in your favourite colour or the colour that's in.

Ladies, to accessorise your eyes remember your mascara, eye liners and the icing on the cake: eye shadow. But pay close attention to the shade.

Body

Ever heard that an apple a day keeps the doctor away? Drink lots of water to keep your body hydrated. Also, get a good body moisturiser and use it every day.

Eat lots of fruits and vegetables. Cakes and chips are to be had only occasionally.

No pain no gain. Ladies don't shun the gym. An hour a few times a week keeps those curves in check.

For those hot parties, use shimmer lotion on the body to make you to sparkle all over.

Exfoliate to get rid of dead cells and make your skin grow.

Brush teeth three times a day; don't forget to floss and visit your dentist every six months. A beautiful smile brightens the face.

Nails

Though it's just a collection of dead cells, they are meant to be kept beautiful. Keep them trimmed, clean and manicured regularly.

Please don't bite, instead clip or file.

Feet

True beauty is from your head to your feet. Keep feet clean and moisturise daily, especially before going to bed. Keep nails short and well- groomed.

Hair

Shampoo and condition regularly.

Trim ends periodically. The best way to smooth out that look is to get rid of those ends. They cannot be repaired, so get rid of them.

Don't be afraid to experiment. Brighten your hue with a little colour - of course one appropriate for your complexion.

Overnight, cover with something silky to prevent split ends.

Face

Keeping your face clean is a great start. Use a gentle cleanser and work in using circular motions to remove dirt and dead cells, leaving a clean finish to start your makeup.

Less is best. Whatever is done to enhance the face, do it in moderation.

Use bronzers to bring your face to life.

Concealers hide those small imperfections giving you a perfect finish.

Lips

If nothing else, wear lip gloss to keep them crack free. Use a moisturising lip gloss that has a hint of colour. For evening engagements you can go darker (bolder).

Remove unwanted hair. Ladies there are some parts of the body where hair is not attractive. Wax, tweeze, shave - just get rid of it.
