Hope for a better future
published: Wednesday | October 18, 2006

The Editor, Sir:

Ladies and gentlemen, we have been suffering too long. The potholed streets, the abject poverty, the constant water woes. Think of it, we have been sorely neglected, we have been abandoned by the present rulers of this country who turned their backs on us after we voted for them.

The saying 'Empty vessels make the most noise' reminds me of the myriad promises of this government. But friends, we can choose a new leader that would care for us, that would never turn his back on us; he would lift us up out of the hardship we now suffer.

My friends, don't you think we are entitled to a better quality of life? We must not become so hardened by suffering that we lose sight of hope and deliverance for Jamaica. My friends, I urge from my heart to make a right choice.

I am etc.,

R. MEIKLE

Kingston
