The Government's $10 million audit into the billing system of the Jamaica Public Service Company, has suffered yet another delay.
This is the third delay since the audit was ordered in the aftermath of Hurricane Ivan in September 2004. Last month, the Office of Utilities Regulation had stated that the audit would have been ready by October 18.
The audits were delayed twice before as both the power company and the auditing firm, Price WaterhouseCoopers, had sighted
several concerns.
This third delay has been attributed to the unavailability of the overseas experts called in to assist with the audit.
