THE EDITOR, Sir:
You know elections are coming when all of a sudden roads begin to get fixed, NHT ads start appearing, old NHT housing schemes get new signs and water pipeline projects start happening all at the same time.
Everything of course, nicely coinciding with a massive street-cleaning programme. Someone should inform the PNP that the electorate has grown weary of these symbolic semantics.
When the Prime Minister boldly announced recently that 'Jamaica is not for sale', did she contemptuously believe that the PNP had already bought Jamaica?
This is not so, Madam Prime Minister! For the past 17 years we have voted for the PNP and the country has only gotten poorer and deeper in debt.
The Government has become corrupt beyond any hope of salvage. I am begging the people of Jamaica to vote for a new government. We would all benefit from it. I am praying and having faith that God will deliver us. Jamaica is not for sale!
I am, etc.,
