Seba clip Naggo Head 3-2
published: Friday | October 27, 2006

Seba - 3

(Wilfred Smith, 21st, 90th, Norman Wollery 32nd)

Naggo Head - 2

(Carlos Barrett, 43rd, 92nd)

SEBA UNITED'S coach, Jeffrey Maxwell, lauded his team's first-half performance against Naggo Head on Wednesday as the reason why it came out on top 3-2.

"We had a good first-half but as usual in the second half everybody goes for glory," said Maxwell, the Premier League's most travelled coach.

"We are happy for the win though as our aim is to get 21 points at the end of the first round," he said.

The win, Seba's third, pushed them to nine points and sixth in the 12-team table. They trail Water-house (17), Harbour View (16), Portmore, Reno and Arnett Gardens (10).

No surprise

Seba dominated the opening 45 minutes and it was no surprise when they went up 2-0 after 32 minutes.

Wilfred Smith scored the first of his two goals when he headed home from a left-sided corner, while his second came on 90 minutes when he combined with Theodore Whitmore and Damion Williams to beat Tyrone Watson in Naggo Head's goal.

Carlos Barrett, who scored Naggo Head's sixth goal of the season when he scored from close range, struck his second of the game after outsmarting Seba's defensive line.

Naggo Head's coach, Harold Thomas, said his team lost the game off the field.

"What can I say, the team lost the game off the field," Thomas said referring to attitude problems. "We lost it from the first-half when we conceded two easy goals," he said.
