Oliver Clarke O.J., chairman, speaking at a recent staff meeting at the offices of GV Media Group Ltd., announced the appointment of George Ruddock as acting managing director of GV Media Group Ltd., publishers of The Voice, Weekly Gleaner and Young Voices magazine, effective November 1.

Mr. Ruddock's appointment follows the resignation of Kingsley Thomas O.J., who resigned as managing direc-tor of the Group with effect from October 30.

Mr. Clarke des-cribed the role Mr. Thomas played with the Company as valuable and productive.

"Kingsley played an invaluable role in the development and redesign of the paper and restructuring of the company during the past 12 months. I wish him well in his future endeavours," Mr. Clarke said.

He also congratulated Andrew Clunis and Rodney Hinds on their recent appointment as News Editor and Sports, Entertainment and Features Editor respectively for the three publications.

Mr. Ruddock, who was previously deputy managing director, will assume full responsibility for the company. He will be supported by Jenni Campbell, advertising and marketing manager; Karin Edwards, finance manager; and Jenni Williams, HRD manager.
