LETTER OF THE DAY - Who is responsible for the absence of outrage?
THE EDITOR, Sir: A few years ago, my gardener called me at one'oclock in the morning. His pregnant wife had gone into labour and he needed a ride to 'Jubilee'. I left them at the entrance, went to park the car then returned to see how things were going.

THE EDITOR, Sir: In his article entitled 'Religious threat to freedom' published in the Sunday Gleaner of October 15, Mr. Ian Boyne ascribes the disposal of the concept of "divine right" to secularism.

The Editor, Sir: I have been observing in the daily papers and on television in recent times, Professor Trevor Munroe advocating for the state funding of political parties.

The Editor, Sir: On behalf of the citizens of Jamaica, I would like to applaud the community of Grants Pen, St. Andrew, who celebrated one year free of serious crimes. Once a volatile and dangerous community, Grants Pen has just celebrated peace...

Maternity leave

The Editor, Sir: I read with interest the letter captioned 'Breast-feeding, but more maternity leave' published September 22. The writer is imploring Mrs. Lewis-Fuller to advocate for increased maternity leave.
