Hear ye, hear ye, the royal family summoned everyone to the Knutsford Court Hotel last Tuesday, October 31, to introduce the 'King'. But who was the King?

Continental Baking Company Ltd., brand name National, known throughout the land for its harddough bread, introduced 'the King', their mystery product to the family. Everyone came clad in trendy apparel to meet him. Upon arrival, guests were met at the gate by the 'royal' staff of the National Bakery. After signing the 'royal' guest list it was time for merriment, cocktails and fine wines.

As the room filled with chatter and laughter the 'royal' family, the Hendricksons, greeted guests. Butch Hendrickson, managing director of Continental Baking Company Limited, welcomed everyone to his celebration. After much drinking and pep talk, the order was given to go to the dining area.

Dramatic entrance

Master of ceremonies, Jennifer 'Jenny-Jenny' Small, took care of formalities. Karen Smith, cabaret singer, entertained with both love songs and a few Jamaican festival songs. Butch Hendrickson revealed the new king after drum roll, smoke, lights and music. The 'King' was borne on the 'royal' chariot and set down. As soon as he landed, Mark Doig and Sofdar Seyyad were called upon to do the unveiling. The 'King', clad in brown and red apparel, is on the round side but quite shapely; he is King Crackers.

Mr. Hendrickson declared that the name King Crackers reflects the confidence of the manufacturer that combines crunch with taste courtesy to home-made baking methods of old and their giant harddough bread. He pointed out, too, that they sensed the need for chance in the market, thus they came up with King Crackers. He added that it tastes like no other and it is a very healthy snack because it has no trans fats and zero cholesterol. For them, King Crackers is anticipated to be the next house-hold name as professed by Racquel Suepat, marketing manager at Continental Baking Company.
