Fix the road, please!
published: Thursday | November 9, 2006

The Editor, Sir:

A bridge has been built near my home in order, the authorities said, to lift the road. Since then, whenever it rains, my gateway is flooded, sometimes to more than two feet deep.

There is drainage on the other side of the road but not on my side, so the water settles. My fence has also been destroyed.

I am kindly asking the people responsible to fix that part of the road as early as possible. It is now one year since the road has been lifted. I can't take it any more.

I am, etc.,

MRS. SYBIL CHRISTIE

Comfort Hall District

Comfort Hall P.O.,

Manchester
