Harbour View, Boys' Town draw
published: Friday | November 10, 2006

HARBOUR VIEW'S 1-1 draw with Boys' Town in Wednesday night's Wray & Nephew Premier League contest put the 'Stars of the East' into the first end-of-round final, but coach, Lenworth Hyde, was not overly excited.

When asked how he felt to be in the final, Hyde said: "Yah, Yah ... I'm in."

Harbour View (21 points) and Waterhouse (22) will contest the final.

Hyde explained why he was not overly excited.

"Basically, what we are dealing with is points. What we want to do is win every game," he said.

Meanwhile, it was a scrappy game at the Harbour View Mini Stadium. Though both teams created a lot of goalscoring chances, only Harbour View's Kavin Bryan's 19th-minute header and Boys' Town's George Vernal's 44th-minute strike counted.

Hyde said he was disappointed but "not so much about the result, but how we performed, we didn't play any football today".

Boys' Town's Andrew Price had mixed feelings.

"We got chances and I am always going to be disappointed if I am not able to get the maximum three points," Price said. "But playing away and I can pick up a point and be competitive against one of the leaders in the competition, I think my team gave on honest effort today and I can't fault them for that."
