As the excitement surrounding The Gleaner-sponsored Kingston Restaurant Week (KRW) builds, 18 managers, directors and guests of The Gleaner Company and Power 106 were out on Thursday night leading the way for excited patrons who will be participating in KRW 2006 which begins today.
Members of the team were treated to some of the finest meals by participating restaurants.
Karin Cooper, corporate affairs and marketing manager at The Gleaner, described the event as "a splendid evening of scrumptious cuisine, excellent wine and good conversation."
All guests were pleased with the unique experience they shared as they previewed the fine dining experience that the participating restaurants will be offering to the public during KRW.
Rush for reservations
There is a rush to secure reservations at participating restaurants during KRW, so book early and don't be left out. Those wishing to repeat last year's experience will not be disappointed, and first-timers are welcome to the most fabulous dining experience this year.
KRW offers the perfect atmosphere to celebrate special occasions such as birthdays, anniversaries, or just catching up with old friends. The special menus, friendly service and stimulating atmosphere will provide the perfect setting for your special person or group.
Stephanie Scott, the coordinating partner for KRW, saw The Gleaner evening out as "the best way to celebrate the success of the partnership, as we bring to Jamaica's discerning and appreciative tastes KRW 2006."
Joining the Gleaner are other sponsors: Appleton Estate, Ocean Spray and Coca-Cola, bMobile, NCB e-Business, Ammar's, Supreme Ventures and Gas Pro, with endorsements from Island Grill, Jamaica Tourist Board and the Kingston and St. Andrew Corporation.
