Challenge tourney on
published: Saturday | November 11, 2006

The Jamaica Golf Association's third annual Teen Challenge tournament will be held at the Sandals Golf and Country Club in Ocho Rios today. Twenty-two participants are expected to tee off this morning, including defending champion Orette Rose.

The tournament will begin with a shotgun start at 9:00 a.m. and scores will be calculated using the Stableford format.

It will also feature 'long drive' and 'closest to the pin' competitions. A prize-giving ceremony will follow.

Organiser of the tournament, Crissano Dalley, said the aim of year's event was to garner support for Teen Challenge Jamaica's budget. Teen Challenge Jamaica is a non-profit organisation which aims to rehabilitate victims of drug and alcohol abuse.
