Proud dad, Scott Kerr holds his son, Che. - Contributed

On Valentine's Day last year, Scott Kerr professed his love to Annette Fletcher and asked for her hand in marriage using the centrespread of Flair magazine.

A few months later, on August 28, they were married. Last month, on October 18, the couple welcomed their first child together.

"At the hospital, Scott could not stop crying," said a beaming mom about her husband. The baby's birth made Kerr emotional. "I'm just so happy, he told me when I asked him why he's crying," said Mrs. Kerr.

Named Che Alexander Kerr, he is the first child for Kerr and the second for Mrs. Kerr.

Marriage proposal

Scott and Annette Kerr gained public attention after the 100-word marriage proposal won Flair magazine's 'Will You Marry Me' competition.

Today, the couple is still beaming with love. "The best part is, it makes us feel more like a couple that we got something accomplished," he said.

Mrs. Kerr added: "At nights we both get up. We do terms, sometimes Scott will even say, 'You stay down I'll feed him.'"

According to the Kerrs, their son resembles them both. "He's got Annette's nose and mouth but he definitely has my complexion and hair type," said the proud father.
