Taxi man fatally stabbed
published: Monday | November 13, 2006

The body of a 49-year-old taxi operator was found along a track in Lennox, Westmoreland with what appeared to be stab wounds yesterday morning.

He has been identified as Ehud Dixon, operator of Greenfield in Westmoreland.

Mr. Dixon's body was found at about 10 O' clock by passers-by.

His daughter Sherene Dixon told The Gleaner that her father who plies the New Market to New Roads route was last seen earlier in the morning operating his green Toyota Corolla Station Wagon car.

Miss Dixon said when her father did not return home Saturday night family members became concerned.

"It is our view that he was abducted, stabbed in the head and taken to Lennox where he was thrown form his car," Ms Dixon continued.

The Darliston police who are investigating suspect that robbery is the motive for Mr. Dixon's death as his 1996 Toyota Corolla motorcar was taken by his abductors.
