After spending five months probing a criminal network in the commercial district of White Horses in St. Thomas, detectives attached to the Morant Bay CIB have arrested two men in connection with the June 19 double murder of a former Tank-Weld Metals supervisor, Guy Taffe, 59, and his sideman, Eric Reid.
Their bodies, with multiple gunshot wounds, were found on a worksite.
Third being sought
Arrested and charged with two counts of murder is Junior Pryce, alias 'John Gotti'. A second person has been detained in connection with the killings, while a third person is now being sought for questioning.
Pryce is booked to appear in the Yallahs Resident Magistrate's Court tomorrow.
Reports are that Mr. Taffe, who had worked with Tank-Weld Metals for 35 years, was overseeing the construction of a water tank in White Horses. It is alleged that both men were murdered because they refused to pay extortion money.
Mr. Taffe's body, with multiple gunshot wounds, was found slumped behind his white Ford Explorer SUV. His sideman's body with a single bullet wound was discovered about 40 yards away.
