BRIDGETOWN (CMC):
Pacers Fidel Edwards and Corey Collymore are among four changes made to the West Indies one-day international team announced Friday to contest the five-match series against Pakistan starting next month.
The duo have been joined by wicketkeeper Carlton Baugh and his compatriot Wavell Hinds, both of whom have also been axed from the 14-man side that contested the recent ICC Champions Trophy tournament in India.
Left-arm spinner Dave Mohammed, called up for the ongoing Test series, have been retained for the one-dayers along with fast bowler Daren Powell.
Impressive 21-year old gloveman Denesh Ramdin has re-gained his spot in the one-day side after missing out on the DLF Cup and the Champions Trophy, while batsman Lendl Simmons will play his first senior ODI series.
All four players are already in Pakistan as part of the Test squad.
All-rounder Marlon Samuels, Dwayne Smith and Ian Bradshaw, all members of the Champions Trophy squad, but overlooked for the subsequent Test series, will rejoin the team in Pakistan to complete the squad.
Edwards, the fiery 24-year-old pacer, has been lacklustre in recent performances leading to his omission from the XI for the second Test at Multan last week and Colly-more, despite his presence in the Test series, was not at his stingy best during the Champions Trophy.
Hinds had a miserable Cham-pions Trophy tournament with the bat while Baugh failed to impress behind the stumps.
The first ODI bowls off in Rawalpindi on December 5.
SQUAD: Brian Lara (captain), Ramnaresh Sarwan (vice-captain), Ian Bradshaw, Dwayne Bravo, Shivnarine Chanderpaul, Christopher Gayle, Dave Mohammed, Runako Morton, Daren Powell, Denesh Ramdin, Marlon Samuels, Lendl Simmons, Dwayne Smith, Jerome Taylor.
