An urgent appeal
published: Monday | November 27, 2006

The Editor, Sir:

This is to inform the entire Government about the deplorable road conditions in the Boone Hall Housing Scheme and roads surrounding that area on which we the citizens have no other alternative but to drive on them.

I have complained through this medium on several occasions on this matter, and to date nothing has been done. Now the situation is even worse than it was before, to the point where citizens have to be driving on the banking of the bridge in order to get to the other side. Before, we could dodge potholes to prevent damages to our vehicles, now the entire road is a trench leaving us with no alternative but to drive on its banks.

Another election is coming up shortly and I am sure these politicians will need good roads to do their campaigning or risk damage to their multi-million dollar vehicles.

Again I appeal to the powers that be, the Ministry or the Parish Council, to have mercy on us

I am, etc.,

ANDREA HARRIS-BYFIELD

Golden Meadows Housing Scheme,

Stony Hill
