Ford goes after US$18 billion in financing
DETROIT, Michigan (AP): Ford Motor Company said Monday it plans to get about US$18 billion in financing to help fund its restructuring and help make up for anticipated losses in its automotive operations over the next two years.

Cuba says boom continues, growth projected at 12.5%

HAVANA, Cuba (Reuters): Cuba's remarkable recovery from an economic crisis, caused by the collapse of the Soviet Union, continued this year with double digit growth expected and good prospects for 2007, the state-run news agency said on Monday.


New Dutch pipeline starts pumping gas to UK

LONDON, United Kingdom (Reuters): A new pipeline linking the Netherlands to Britain on Monday pumped its first gas supplies to the United Kingdom, Europe's biggest market for the fuel.


NHT records 8% jump in total assets

As at March 31, the total assets of the National Housing Trust (NHT) stood at $78.72 billion, reflecting an increase of 8.03 per cent over the previous financial year.
