PNP must come clean too
published: Wednesday | November 29, 2006

The Editor Sir:

Danny Buchanan and the People's National Party (PNP) have placed so much emphasis on the break-in at the National Arena during the recently-concluded Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) conference.

While I am not condoning such unruly and outrageous conduct, I believe that Mr. Buchanan and the PNP should come clean on the Trafigura issue, which is far more serious than that break-in at the Arena.

In addition to reporting to the nation this act of nastiness by the PNP, the JLP should, through general secretary Karl Samuda, emulate Mr. Buchanan, by reporting to the Political Ombudsman that the PNP cannot come clean to the nation about the hanky-panky that transpired in this Trafigura affair.

Time for the PNP to come clean on this one Mr. Buchanan. The silence on their part smacks of sleaziness.

I am, etc.,
