What is the PM doing for the taxpayers?
published: Thursday | November 30, 2006

The Editor, Sir:

I have noticed the repeated trend of the government's decision to foster and care for the inner-city people, the so-called 'ghetto youths'. They give them gully work, free houses, free land, they don't pay for utilities. So, what are we to say - that the poverty level in Jamaica is only with the ghetto people? No! this is madness and the Prime Minister needs to pay keen attention if she wishes to win win the next general election.

The working people of this country (taxpayers) are suffering because of this virus, it's like the common cold, it has no treatment.

When it comes to NHT benefits, a young lady like myself will never be able to get a loan to satisfy my need of owning a home, because of the fraud system they have in place to trick people.

They build a multimillion-dollar park, with whose money? They build low-income houses for the inner-city youths, with whose money? They foster community programmes, with whose money?

I am, etc.,
